Well, Kerouac tends to try to tug at people's need for adventure. To just go on the open road without having an actual plan. It's still writing because even people with the simplest of ideas, have a hard time getting them down in a way that makes sense. But of course everyone is entitled to their opinion. :-)
I can't agree. I tried On the Road. Nope. Next I read Truman Capote's comment about Jack: "That's not writing. It's typing."
